Shaye's Tiny Homes

Seven months ago we bought DIY plans for the Hazel Delux design to build it where we live in Spain. We had become in love with the Hazel design since watching the Living Big in a Tiny House video on YouTube and since then wanted to live in our own Tiny House. The process since then - although tricky at some points for the difficulties in our country where the Tiny House Movement is not as extended - has been wonderful! Sheila from Shaye's Tiny Homes has been there with us for every doubt we had and encouraged us with all the building processes that we have been sharing at our Instagram account @proyectotiny. I would say that the mix of the wonderful and deep-thought design from Shaye's Tiny Homes and the professional work from the building company who finally built our Tiny here in Spain, NOMA House (nomahouse.es), made the perfect match. I am honestly so grateful for the work Shaye's Tiny Homes does inspiring others all around the globe to make their Tiny house dreams a reality. It shows that Shaye herself is in love with tiny houses. She started with herself, and inspired others -from her own family to people from the other side of the world- to do so! We now want to inspire others as well and keep the tiny house movement growing, also in Spanish-speaking countries where the movement is less spread. We recently bought the 'Hazel' plans from Shaye's Tiny Homes. Both Sheila and Tash were extremely approachable and so generous with their time, passing on invaluable knowledge in the process. Our visits to the workshop in particular provided us with the confidence that we could actually build our own tiny home from Shaye's plans. Thanks so much for everything guys.

This review has been a long time coming. I had a beautiful and rich experience building and co-creating with Shaye and her amazing team at Shaye’s tiny homes. The journey of building my own home has been deeply important, so building with Shaye who is passionate, thinks creatively and is excited about this work was fun, inspiring and deeply satisfying for me. I witnessed Shaye and her team pivoting and being creative with their approach to deliver a truly beautiful home regardless of what was happening in this new post pandemic building landscape. I really appreciate Shaye and her team’s real dedication and care to their homes, where they go the extra mile with attention to detail. We have so many needs that it was difficult for us so see how we are going to make it work. Hubby works from home mostly, family members that's really tall, 2 big dogs, grandkids and a lot of family for the holidays. Sheila helped us to decide which plan will work the best and kept on guiding us to the right solutions. She is a ⭐. We are rookies. Never build anything in our lives. We recommend their plans and services. They are great. :)

It’s been a year since we built and moved into our beautiful Sophie design, and we’re still just as in love with it as the day we moved in (probably more!) Every space feels well thought out and way roomier than we thought. Shaye and Tash really listened to what we wanted, even adjusting the height of the house for my 6ft husband, which made a big difference. Our shower is bigger than ones we've had in the past, and the kitchen is more practical and enjoyable to use than a lot of our previous ones. We added the storage room off the bathroom and it’s made a huge difference - we honestly have storage to spare (we retrofitted wall to wall storage shelves and drawers) We built the house with future kids in mind, and after living in it for a year, we’re confident it’ll still work for us when that time comes. Next step is to buy our own land and maybe even extend it! 🥰
