Refresh Renovations West Auckland - Dominic Hollands

We are so grateful to Dom and his crew for helping to breathe new life into our 100+ year old bungalow. Our house was in desperate need of a face-lift and they didn't just do that, but almost gave it a whole new face. It was a big undertaking but from the initial design to the completed renovation, Dom was with us every step of the way, keeping us informed about what was happening, what the timeframes were like etc., and he kept things on track as best he could. All of our builders, as well as the plumbers, sparky, and site manager were amazing and worked so hard. We started this reno while I was in my third trimester of pregnancy and everyone did everything they could to make things run as smooth as possible and be as stress-free as possible. We wouldn't have thought it was possible to turn what we had into this amazing, modern house so we're really happy and proud of what we've managed to achieve together with Dom and the team. We now have a beautiful home that we can raise our daughter in.

We met Morag from the Refresh team for a consultation way back in 2020, however life got in the way until 2023. Morag's warmth and obvious expertise stuck with us and when it came time to choose how to move forward with updating our 50's built/70's extended pole house in Laingholm, Morag/Refresh were the first and only place we contacted (despite having used another company for recent flood repairs). The Refresh team were so good: they suggested Spin Design and helped us turn our ideas into what would fit into our reality (damn budgets!) but most importantly, serve us and our lifestyle best - it felt more like taking advice from a trusted friend at that point. The project itself was well-communicated and our expectations managed. The team coming onsite were polite, tidy and respectful and their work was excellent. There was no question too small, which we really appreciated. Importantly, we knew when invoices were coming and given warning to pay them which was so important. We heard from and saw Morag and Dominic frequently which was super reassuring. We love the outcome of our modernised home and feel she has had the best bought out in her. We would absolutely use Refresh again and unreservedly recommend them to anyone looking to make their space more "them".

Dom, Morag, Darren, and the team made an idea of mine into a reality. They help turn an old detached garage into a two storey extension with an access to the original house. It all started from a chat with Morag, and Morag organised the meeting with the architect and necessary people to get the project going. The baton then gets handed to Dom, where he managed the project throughout the process, from getting the council consent done to making sure everything is going to plan. Dom keeps you updated throughout the process, and keeps you up to date with everything. You will get to know Darren well, especially once you get used to his English accent! All the builders we had were good at what they did, and always turned up on time in the morning ready to get the job done. Dom and Darren also use very good electricians and plumbers, as they get the job done quickly as well. Overall, my experience with Dom, Morag, Darren, and the builders were really good. I would definitely recommend them for any of your project, small or big!

Dominic and his team and contractors are highly recommended. We've used them for both small repair work to larger scale renovations and always found them to on time, on budget and always with clear communication about the process and work undertaken. Having Refresh manage the contractors takes all the hassle out of renovating, and the contractors they use have always delivered top notch services.

Dom and the team just finished renovating our house for us and we couldn't be happier with the result. We first contacted Morag in January to come out and give us a quote for a bathroom renovation and later found out a leak from the bathroom had caused damage to our kitchen and flooring as well, so, what started as one room turned into basically a full house reno! With recently having had a baby I was quite stressed about this and asked Morag if they were able to help with the other renovations as well and it was no issue ! We even added a couple of other things that had been bothering us (like the wardrobe and interior painting). Having Morag and Dom manage everything from the design process and coordinating all the trades was life saving and worth every $ spent. I don't think my photos do their work justice (and please excuse our mess). The tiler especially blew our mind with his work in our bathroom and kitchen.
