Builders Near Me provides an online directory, content, and tools intended to help users find and connect with building professionals. We do not carry out construction work and we are not a party to contracts between homeowners and builders.

Listings and information

Directory listings and third-party content may be supplied by businesses or compiled from public sources. Information may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. You should verify licences, insurance, references, and quotes independently before hiring or paying anyone.

No endorsement

Inclusion in the directory, badges, or featured placement does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee of quality, or certification by Builders Near Me, unless we explicitly say otherwise in writing for a specific programme.

Your conduct

You agree not to:

• misuse the site, probe for vulnerabilities, or scrape it in breach of these terms;
• submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
• harass, abuse, or harm other users or our team;
• use the site for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

The site design, branding, text we create, and our compilations are protected by copyright and other rights. You may not copy or reuse them except as allowed by law or with our written permission. Builders retain rights to their own logos and materials they upload; they grant us a licence to display them on the site as part of listings.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Builders Near Me and its operators are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, or for loss arising from your reliance on directory information, introductions, or content. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim relating to the site in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of NZD $100 or the fees you paid us in that period for paid services (if any). Nothing in these terms limits rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 where those laws apply and cannot be contracted out of.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims brought by third parties arising from your misuse of the site, your listings, or your breach of these terms, except to the extent caused by our negligence or wrongdoing.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the site or remove content where we reasonably believe it is necessary for legal, security, or operational reasons.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. The courts of New Zealand have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
