The team at Arbol have been great to deal with, both during and after our build. Whilst the highly customized build (this was early days before the standardized model was introduced) came with its challenges getting it to the Wairarapa, the house has been incredible. Coming up to three years this month, it has been in use most weekends and holidays. The warmth and beauty of the craftmanship is excellent and lots of great memories have been made. We did a lot of research trying to find someone who takes high-performance housing seriously and the Arbol team is nothing short of passionate about top building materials and warmth. If you want a high-quality build that is comfortable, functional, beautiful and performs all-year round, Arbol should be on your shortlist.

A year ago we received our Rata and now after experiencing all 4 seasons in our home we couldn't be happier, the insulation coupled with the Heat Recovery / ventilation system has given us a warm dry home without the worry of towering power bills this winter. I moved into my brand new Arbol Rātā home a few months ago and could not be more thrilled! It is an absolutely fantastic home in every aspect: the design, the energy efficiency, the eco-friendliness, the price, the speed of construction, the outstanding quality, etc, etc! I live in mine full time and it's so great I never want to leave, lol. People who visit step inside and cannot believe how warm it is on a freezing cold day, and that's always without turning on the heat pump! My electricity bills tell the story: $87 in July, while my friends were paying hundreds of dollars (and I work from home just about full time and all my appliances are electric)! What's even better is that I signed my contract with Arbol in December 2023 and the house arrived in May 2024 - no lengthy delays, no big hassles like everyone else I know who's built a home in NZ. I'm so eternally grateful I didn't go down the route of trying to remodel a mouldy, uninsulated, giant Kiwi house with terrible windows that would have cost far too much to heat. Instead I got the perfect house for me without having to live through construction or remodeling, knowing the workers were happy too not having to work out in the elements or wait for a fair day so they could make progress. You won't regret going with Arbol.

The most noticeable thing about our Arbol house is the warmth. The sun only has to be out for an hour or so and the house remains warm until bedtime. The place feels centrally heated when you walk in from the cold, and that's without any internal heating. The opposite occurs in summer. On a hot day, the house is usually cooler inside than outside. Steady internal temperature is a real feature of our home.
