Just at the planning stages with Davey from Modular Dwellings. Already I feel well supported in the journey to create my quirky Home + Design Space. Glad I passed by their show home in Waipapa and called!

It took many years of obsessive researching to decide on minimal living and I ended up booking the first builder I consulted! Davey and his team at Modular Dwellings were the perfect fit for me. I loved his aesthetic, attention to detail and foresight when it came to negotiating a bespoke build. I chose two 8.5 x 3m pods which would be connected by a covered-in deck at a later stage. The design process was made easy with his extensive templates and superior finishing - it was just a matter of choosing where walls and fittings should go. I did add a couple of joinery fittings (a serving window and laundry louvres) and thought his selection was perfect for what I wanted. His secretary even suggested a walk-in closet rather than cabinetry and it has proved to be one of the most practical features of my floor plan as well as adding extra storage. Good communication and contact throughout the build made the process so easy and I appreciated the site visits at pivotal times which kept me visually connected and added to my confidence of due diligence throughout. At the end of the build I felt not only that my dream had come true but that the whole journey had been stress-free and even a pleasant experience of collaboration. Compared to other similar building companies I found Modular Dwellings to be very reasonably priced. I have been in my home a year this month and truly live every day in gratitude. There have been no teething problems of any kind and not one single thing I would change. My home is light and spacious, cool in summer warm in winter and easily accommodates the guests the two dwellings were designed for.
