New Zealand Log Homes (1982) Limited

I own a beautiful Log Home on the Mahia Peninsula in Hawkes Bay. While it was owner built in 1993; Derek the owner of NZ Log Homes was instrumental in building 'Cappamore Lodge' after the owner builder fell from the roof. If you are contemplating a log home I can not praise the stability and construction standards highly enough. As I write I am in the middle of a Gail. The Lodge is solid and firm, no creaking and no drafts. Derek and Lloyd his architect are about to commence an addition of second story decks and French doors from all of the rooms on the second floor. This addition will give Cappamore Lodge another dimension and establish Cappamore as one of the most outstanding homes on the peninsula. PART 2: The decks have now been built. 3 dormer windows were knocked out to allow each bedroom a seaview and access onto these amazing second story decks. The build took 3 months; the result is nothing short of art in the fine finishes to detail, the log work and the balustrades. Best yet the decks look like they have always been there and now add a balanced feature to the oceanside of our home.
