My company James Henry Ltd has subcontracted to DRD for nearly ten years on numerous projects. We supply and fit high quality wooden floors. We've found Jesse and Hadleigh and their teams to be well organised and professional. They are genuinely nice people to deal with and by our observations they turn out very well put together renovated homes.

When we started the demolition of an elderly house and the complete re-build over 2 years ago we could not have anticipated the potential effects that Covid may have on the build itself or the building industry. But regardless and throughout, DRD proved themselves to be an efficient, effective, skilled and resourceful team. Regardless of the extra challenges that building an extension to a fully operational , 24/7 animal shelter posed, Hadleigh, Jesse and Tim ( along with Joe , Dylan and the other crew members) were totally reliable and their excellent communication made this complex build a positive experience. As clients we felt that our needs were heard, considered, discussed and actioned without difficulty ...and this continued with every tradesperson they sub contracted to. Our 3 story new build is something which we are extremely proud of and we at Cats Protection Wellington have no hesitation in recommending DRD.

We have recently finished up a major renovation at our villa, using the services of DRD. Heading into this project we were a bit nervous as friends had told of issues with building and renos, however we didn't need to worry. DRD were so professional, on time and amazing to work with from start to finish. We felt comfortable the whole way through the process and could not be happier with the results. There is not a single thing we are unhappy with. Brendan and Liam were incredible and nothing was too much trouble for them - in fact we absolutely loved having them around and life feels a bit strange without seeing them daily now. They were always on time, courteous and made it all very stress free (especially with four animals around, and owners still living in the home during the renos). Jesse and Tim had incredible communication and kept us very in the loop with billing etc. Would absolutely use DRD again, and would recommend to anyone wanting a professional service and a job well done.

We are delighted with the significant renovation of our coastal weekend property that Hadleigh and his team have delivered. The quality of the building work is very high. Hadleigh was great to deal with. He communicated regularly and he was always clear. He often used photographs to ensure we all knew what we were talking about. Hadleigh is a skilful problem solver and when the inevitable unexpected problems that arise when renovating an old house occurred, he always had pragmatic suggestions to resolve these. Importantly, Hadleigh sought to understand what we were trying to achieve with this renovation, which we very much appreciated. He brought our hopes for the house to life and the finished house has surpassed our expectations. We are enjoying living in it very much. We also acknowledge Jesse’s role in the project. The level of detail and transparency in the pricing was far greater than for any of the other builders’ quotes that we received. Once the project was underway, the discussion and agreement to contract variations was thorough, which meant no surprises with the billing. We would not hesitate to use DRD Builders again in the future.
