My architect said "they're a good outfit", and he was right. High quality work completed on a balcony addition and new garden shed build. They've aligned themselves with excellent third party operators (including my favourite architect) and take care of every detail. My only teensy complaint is that there were occassional gaps in comms, but I'm not a very patient person, so probably a me problem. Top notch, Glen & Paul.

Buildsmart delivered a fantastic refurbishment of my bathroom that included bringing laundry into the space. I had a workable bathroom in 9 days just prior to Christmas & then they completed job in January. Great communication with Project Manager & Main Builder liaising with all the subcontractors. Buildsmart recently renovated our bathroom and they did an amazing job. They were quick to respond to our initial enquiry and provided a very detailed quote. Communication was clear and easy, they stuck to the agreed timeframe and kept us up to date as the project developed. They made the whole process as straightforward as possible and were very tidy, with a great attention to functionality and detail. Everyone was really friendly, which makes a big difference when people are in your house a lot. We love our new bathroom and we really appreciate Buildsmart helping us figure out what would work best within our budget.

These guys at BuildSmart are absolutely amazing - when faced with a natural disaster in Dunedin (Civil Defence Emergency rain event) in October 2024 we were recommended by our Structural Engineer Sean O'Neill, to touch base with Glen from BuildSmart - we have nothing but a glowing reommendation re Glen and his team when faced with a year of battling EQC (NHC) and our insurance company, AAI, for compensation/settlement - wouldn't wish that on anyone!. It really took its toll on us but Glen made everything so much easier with his excellent communication with all parties (and there were many throughout the country) re his videos, emails and relentless phone chats inside and outside of standard working hours. In a heightened stressed state he was the calming voice at the other end of the phone and allayed all our fears. This was never going to be a cheap fix, indeed very expensive, but Glen and his team showed us that there are wonderful people that do work in your favour. Thank you Glen and to your team with special mention to Blair and his young team (Taieri Excavation) for listening and looking after our section as much as they could, and, of course, our Site Manager Sam, who also worked tirelessly keeping everyone in check and solving problems on the hop - we bloody got there Glen so a huge THANKYOU to you and your team :)
