Nevan and his main man, Paddy, recently completed our family holiday home in Wanaka and we are more than pleased with the result. Despite the fact we reside in the North Island, the entire project went very smoothly and was an enjoyable, stress free process for us. The distance and only intermittent site visits never proved a barrier thanks to Nevan's willingness to make contact as required and his openness and rapid response to our texts, phone calls and emails at any time. His open and honest communication kept the process very transparent, and Nevan was always respectful , professional and flexible to any changes we wished to discuss along the way. Nevan's patience in assisting us to establish a clear budget was admirable from the outset, allowing us to keep track of costs as the build progressed and also in closing the build off very close to the original budget. The building site was kept exceptionally tidy and organised - as noted by the neighbours even - and we appreciated the quality of the other tradesmen Nevan engaged and the access we had to them. We were also super impressed with the attention to detail and skill level of both Nevan and Paddy. They really seemed to become engaged in the project and care about creating a finished product both they and us were happy with. Their problem solving and skill was very apparent and both were really helpful in offering , ideas, alternatives and solutions for any issues that occurred. This was our first house build and Nevan guided us through the whole process with his experience, knowledge, and super organisation! Nevan and his team took the time to listen to our ideas and to become fully invested in our dream home. We required a high standard of detailed finishes, with several elements made by us personally, but nothing was too difficult, and Nevan (who loves problem solving) accommodated our needs with ease. The finished product is extremely well built and has exceeded our expectations. The Advantage Build team and their sub-contractors were always professional, timely, and flexible for any changes made throughout the build. With Nevan’s effective communication, everyone knew what they were doing and when, and to what standard. He made it easy for us to ask questions and we felt reassured to ‘speak up’ if we wanted to. Everyone was efficient with their use of time and materials (which saved us money), and the house was delivered on-time and within budget, despite some weather setbacks. We love our home, and so would always recommend Advantage Build.
